These reflect in the investments in new capacities, shedding a new light especially on use of renewable energy sources. The renewable energy potential in the Balkan Region is great yet underexploited. The knowledge and experience in renewable energy is crucial for achieving independence and growth of national economies as well as for research and technological development of the European industry.
